17 Easy Steps To Relaxation And Rejuvination

Today I am feeling recharged, well rested, and so happy to have had my husband all to myself for almost an entire weekend. That guy is pretty great.

And you can feel this great too! If you're feeling a little low on motivation and high on stress, here's a step-by-step guide for how to get your groove back:
  1. Take a much needed personal day and spend the day engaged in some retail therapy.
  2. Later in the day, drop children off at the grandparents'. Bolt from house almost immediately.
  3. Dinner at the Olive Garden, carrying a piece of black tie cheesecake & a bottle of wine to go.
  4. Check into hotel. Immediately slip into a steaming hot bubble bath, glass of wine within easy reach.
  5. From bath straight into the king sized Heavenly Bed (seriously, that's what it's called and they're so right).
  6. Wake up at 9 am to the sound of the starting gun going off for the city's annual 5 mile run. Watch thousands of runners for a brief moment then jump back into warm bed for two more hours of sleep.
  7. Stick to a promise & pledge and hammer out 2 miles on the hotel gym's treadmill.
  8. Shower.
  9. Back to the spa for a massage.
  10. Return to the room, snuggle with the hubs while watching some college basketball.
  11. Shower.
  12. Dinner on The Landing, drinks at Big Bang, then back to the restaurant for a late night snack of potato skins and spinach-artichoke dip.
  13. Heavenly bed.
  14. Sleep in until 10 am (but really only 9 am with the whole "spring ahead" nonsense).
  15. Two more miles on the treadmill even after a night of drinking. Feel like moving mountains.
  16. Shower.
  17. Leave the hotel with knowledge that in two weeks time I'll be off again, this time leaving on a jet plane bound for Minnesota where I'll do a little lovin' on Gizmo, shoppin' at The Mall, and laughin' still my sides ache with Tina & Mitch.

What a wonderful weekend! I keep telling Mitch that we should get a hotel in Minneapolis and just sleep the weekend away. Can't wait to see you!

I can't believe you left off the part about texting your sister in law about a bouncer she made friends with and then having your husband ask said bouncer if his wife can take a picture because husband's sister apparently thought bouncer was hot
