Parenting Tip #59

After instructing a three year to clean up her room, specifically all the books littering the floor of said room, make sure you check the hamper before accepting her unusually quick clean-up as a job well done. Then, following a second more specific set of instructions telling her to put the books on the bookshelf, it's imperative that you check her work once again because apparently "put your books on your bookshelf" and "throw your books in your closet" sound the same.

Bonus tip: Three year olds become very crafty when faced with the threat of no television if messes are not picked up before the timer goes off.
